Shakespeare KS3

Get better results and foster a genuine appreciation of Shakespeare's genius with MOPA's unique and highly acclaimed KS3 Shakespeare sessions. Whether you're studying Richard III, Much Ado About Nothing or The Tempest, we'll provide two hours of interactive exploration designed directly to help your students with their SATs paper.
ShakespeareIn the course of the session both the key scenes are performed, explored and reviewed with language, character, theme and structure all laid bare for even the most challenging of students to grasp and respond to. What's more, MOPA's unique audience-centric approach to theatre means that whether your students are "just starting work on the play" or are "revising their studies" the week before the tests, we will integrate with them and present Shakespeare in a style and format uniquely appropriate to their needs.
But there's a catch! We absolutely will NOT dumb Shakespeare down! Every interpretation, every suggestion, every moment of action is absolutely based on an appreciation of Shakespeare that led one critic of our work to declare 'Shakespeare must be glad to have such friends as these'.
It's not witchcraft and it's not magic. It's just Shakespeare's human vision illuminated honestly for young people today.

KS3 Shakespeare (Year 9)

In these sessions - updated annually to keep in line with the latest examination requirements - we help your pupils achieve better grades through the unique opportunities we create. These include the chance for pupils to work out answers to questions posed by the text and then see their answers put into practice on stage; the chance to direct professional performers in open rehearsals that take place before their eyes; the chance to see set scenes acted out in full; the chance to perform with lighting, sound, costume and props alongside specialists who will guide them through the text instilling self-belief; and the chance to enthuse their own peer group with something they'll never forget because it's their own mates doing it for real on the spur of the moment! In a nutshell it's the chance for them to get a grip like no other on their set text of Shakespeare's. It's inspirational and it's simply not available from any other company in the UK. It's no wonder that these sessions are the diamond in our crown.
