Who are we?

We are a theatre company with a difference.

We were founded in the 1990s by Nic Brownlie, as a vehicle for exploration and promotion of Stanislavski’s Method of Physical Action, whence we take our name.  Out of intensive research into Stanislavski's System, Nic began to develop what is now known as The MOPA Approach.

Today we use The MOPA Approach across our company with a pool of actors, directors, trainers and administrators who share responsibility for delivering our unique products and services across the UK.

We have produced - and continue to develop - a wide range of workshops and presentations that fall into two main categories: on the one side you have our theatrical entertainments for audiences of all sizes and ages; on the other side you have our MOPA human performance workshops and masterclasses for individuals, teams and large groups.  They are all shaped and bound together by the MOPA Approach.
