"A tragedy if you missed this play" - click HERE for full text of Leicester Mercury review of this production!

MOPA's Macbeth gave you a chance to experience the moral minefield of Shakespeare's classic tragedy in a stunning new setting which brought the play alive in ways that are simply not possible in a secular context. It entertained, provoked thought and inspired new understanding of Shakespeare's text. 'Probably the best Macbeth I have ever seen; possibly the best Shakespeare production'.

In Manchester and Leicester, audiences were enthralled by the majesty, the ceremony, the human drama and the full climactic broadsword fight sequences! "Brilliant", "Wonderful", "So fascinating to see it in this context", "so thought-provoking", "I have never made such sense of Shakespeare before". "superb storytelling", "so accessible", "tremendous".
Tickets were available on the door (£12/£8 concessions). All seating was unreserved so you had to arrive early to secure the best seats. Running time was 2 hours 15 minutes including an interval.
